Dan served for 12 years as a South Carolina State Legislator and has traveled in 42 states managing campaigns and political projects. Dan brings a wealth of information and legislative, business and grassroots contacts to any project. Dan has worked on countless national, state and local campaigns, and has traveled across the United States organizing limited-government issue-advocacy projects.
Prior to forming the company, Dan served as National Political Director with Americans for Limited Government (ALG) in Fairfax, Virginia. He managed issue advocacy projects, statewide ballot initiatives and independent expenditure campaigns in over 25 states during his tenure at ALG. He has also worked on 5 presidential campaigns: Ted Cruz SuperPAC (’16), Scott Walker (’16), (Herman Cain (’12), John McCain (’00) and Phil Gramm (’96).
Dan was elected to the South Carolina House of Representatives in 1994—at the age of twenty four—and served in the legislature for twelve years. He credits his win at such an early age to hard work, knocking on thousands of targeted voters’ doors and the grassroots training he received at the Leadership Institute in the early 1990s.
While serving in the House, he chaired the House Insurance subcommittee and was a leader of market-based health and property/casualty insurance reforms in South Carolina.
